DAy 31YESH!!! END OF PROJECT 1!!I miss my group members! The days were so short.. Thank you for your understanding and guidance! HelpSS!! Of course you're the best to us! I know I've thank them in credits, but still wanna say a BIG THANKS to Tom, Caleb, Lydia, Yi Jie, Matthew!! and of course the LECTURERS!! ALAN, RONALD, ALFIE, PENG, WAHIDAH!! HAHA! DAy 30Things do happen on that day itself! Horrible! My credits unable to render as some things missing then. It's reaching the submission time, so my member suggest to go without it. Which I almost cried. I tried my best, though it's not very well done, I still feel sad that it is rejected. Next, finally, after the "you-know-what-will-happen-on-submission-day", we're the first group to present! wah! I was really disappointed for the last minute add in introduction at first.. but after a while, i'm okay. I heard from other people that our last minute introduction made them feel dizzy, I actually teared. Really cannot keep the emotion. After watching some video, I realise that we could have done better. In the midst of the presentation, I wrote down what could have done and things that I've learnt from it. We'll do much better for Proj 2. After the presentation, both Shol and I critiqued some of the works. hmm.. Somehow, we think that we should be truthful and critic other people's work.. for the benefit of making our work better, we should just give in suggestions. yup! Both of us also commented about each other, both negative and positive side. Yup! He said that he couldn't let me do much due to lack of knowledge. But positive is that I'm willing and quick learner. =) THANK YOU!!! =DDDAy 29It just another day of stress! Though I'm someone who work best under stress but this is like unseen stress. Cause this is a group work, and I don't wish to bring them down because of me.. or anyone. As a media dumbo, I tried my best to do the credits and video package at the same time. I went back to my mum's place to stay overnight and left for home at 6.30am! Well, I really din't sleep and din't eat well for days! hmmmm.. One more day! Submission!! DAy 28This is the day that most of us feel the most stress! Super stress! Over the weekends, we planned to do another link of introduction so it will start from Hui Qin (home)-> Hanis (lesson) -> Betty (library) -> Sholleh (lunch) -> Laurie (group meeting to the place) then to Clake Quay where I had my photography. So tiring! I seriously don't feel like going that day! But, one for all, all for one.. Moreover, it's almost the end of our P1 le.. So, might as well do our very BEST! After that, we came back to school to continue the boring editing life till night. DAy 25- 27Editing still in progress. I felt so useless when I couldn't do much in editing. Just come to school to give them moral support. At the same time, I'm learning how to use After Effects once again. And, I'm doing the Video Package, so have to learn Photoshop all over again!!!! I realise the importance of DM fund... hmmmmmmmmmm... during these time, I also very busy with the Diploma Show. And tell you something funny, I've got a friend thought that I was a security! Cause I was wearing high heels with all black! wow! somehow look a bit style. ya.. My feets cramp like nuts!! and and and!! hahahahhah! I think i did something funny! I fell from the stairs while watching canoe polo people playing! hahaha! super OMG!! DAy 24Today, we did our shoot at Amphithreatre. Last week, Laurie had a fall that she couldn't shoot. Well, unexpected things do happen. We had Jake to help us with the camera thing. Yup. Seriously, I think we had great time posing and posing! Shol and Hui Qin got the funny poses lah! Super cute!! haha! I remember one of it, Laurie tried to pick Shol up, den I almost kissed Hui Qin's butt! Seriously, we had a great time! Enjoying every single moment shooting. After the fun, 2D lab is our hang out place again - to do our editing. DAy 23We did what we can for editing before shooting in the afternoon. Cause some of them have classes (actually only Hanis!) hahah! Well, guess what we did on that day? Something to me, embarrassing. We record the scene that we ran down from design ramp. Guess what, a lot of people looking at us lah!! They were laughing and might be thinking that we're nuts lor. HAH! But you know what, we always do stupid things, so, I think, it's okay.. Most importantly, we had fun!! hahahhahahahha!!! besides the work, I think we have to take another place due to the place.. Design ramp is quite dark, all thanks to the rain! We can't really shoot outdoor too. Our plan was to go Amphithreatre. And dress in bright colours! DAy 19 - 22Seriously, I think I lost track of the Day with what is given. -.-''! Anyway, its editing time. I wish I can be a help in this area but.. I'm totally noob about it. Hopefully April don't read this, if not she'll be disappointed.Still, I'm learning in progress.I think, after the review, we need to do some reshooting. Discussion in progress!

DAy 18Okay, according to the schedule, we review these 2 days, if there's anything to reshoot this week. And today is the day! We reshoot my photography and more for Hui Qin's shoot. You know, I had a busy day... I literally drag myself out of the bed to go Clake Quay. TIRED!! I was late again!! Betty is so terrible. Yah.. BUT BUt But!! Today was fast. I only took a few shoots for the interview. (Though I think the quality is not good~!!!) but, i tried! camera shy.. what is this man! haha! that drags the whole team to come again to shoot. Anyway, it was good. and Shol did some jumping stunts. haha! He is a monkey-born.. haha!! After that, I went back to school for meeting. And... seriously, I didn't return to the next shoot. Someone cropped up at home.. But I wanted to take a funny shot!! at the City Hall. It's funny to see everybody cross the road that way... yup! I think that's about all? Photos? wait ah..

DAy (Sunday; suppose to reshoot day) The sky and atmosphere was terrible due to the haze! Stupid haze! That we have to postpone to another day! and the river was sort of polluted. WHY??? Why this day?? After so, we discussed the next shooting scene, video props, the things we haven't do.. Yup! and guess what, we discussed in a COLD COLD COLD FRIDGE! The Macdonald was so SO cold!! I kept going to the balcony to warm myself up. After an hour or 2, I left the "fridge". Not a fruitful day! DAy (Photography) OKAYOKAY!! Today I'm the lead!! haha! I had a hard time thinking what to wear! Cause I love white white white!!! BUT!! not allowed!! And I'm a mood person. I dress according to my mood unless I got nothing much to choose from. SO that day, I'm happy! Bright colour... yup! We were 1 hour late for the shooting time. Hanis and Laurie got DSLR for me!!! I'M SO TOUCHED! but we don't really know how to use Hanis's camera. Kinda big and bulky. THANK YOU TO BOTH HANIS AND LAURIE!! I used Laurie's camera instead. Tell you, I think I'm the worst of all! When I see the camera, my mind go blank! and the shooting was terrible that we have to reshoot again. I'm SO SORRY, group mates!! =X I wish my mind don't go blank when I see the camera! oh.. while shooting, a lot of people looking at us. As though we're some weird people.. (I think we're to them) This add another level of stress. Group mates; stress. Camera; stress. Time; stress. ALL STRESS! But I will do well the next shoot!!! DAy 14 Stamford House. Glenn's Studio. The room that we're using for our Drawing Essential. The place is recommended by Laurie. And yup.. this time, as what we discussed to do earlier on, we took clay work from school and change the shelves. It looks better as backdrop. Hui Qin was the lead today! I remember the night before we actually discussed a lot for her dressing. NO white! NO yellow (due to the place). It was so troublesome she have to borrow clothes from neighbour. And, she's a very hardworking person! She brought 3 sets of top to check with us. =) yup! Back to the scene, the artist, I forgot how to spell her name, she's really a sweet and dear person. She drew 2 of Hui Qin's portraits in 1 hour's time. Amazing ah.. You know what, to draw someone is much easier than being drawn. Hui Qin was like staring into space for 1 hour! Each time she rest, tears came down from her eyes. Really funny. I think that's also the reason why she didn't smile. TOO much to stay in the "smile" position. HAH! At evening time, after a short rest, Laurie and Hanis went in to the room again. This time they shoot the life drawing of a nude lady. Hanis was quite nervous about it and I wanted to accompany her. But I was somewhere else when they go in. Seriously, I really don't dare to go in, to shoot. HAH! I find it embarrassing actually. I know we're the same BUT!! it's totally different thing!!! yes!! anyway, from what we saw from the photos they took, I think the artists were really good! wow! I think one of them is a student from National JC. I was like "WOW"! She got the time to do drawing? Moreover, NJC is one of the top JC in Singapore, stress and work load should be higher. Well, heard from Mrs... Yah! The lady boss, she said she's pursuing an Art University in overseas after she graduate. And they need life drawing for portfolio. WOW! why didn't she join Design school or Art school then? hahah!! Sorry, I'm being too busybody.. Well, I guess that's all for the day.
DAy 11 Here's the schedule.. I actually came up with the schedule! but sadly, cannot upload the Word Doc here. Never mind, shall reveal some of the information here. Cuz it'll be too messy if type everything down in point form. And i also came up with the props and equipment list and roles! Come to think of it, I got hope! Initially, I wanted to change course to PID or IAD or RHD or ADM.. anything going to do hands on! But after a long consideration, i decided to stay in MOI.. to learn something new.. during the time, I kinda worried of the job that I can work in the future. Now I know, at least I can be a producer or production manager! Just like planning the schedule too. OH YES! I sidetrack again.. so the details of the schedule? 18th Mon - Introduction - Minds Cafe 19th Tue - DM fund + storyboard + script - Mac Lab 20th Wed - Drawing Essential - Stamford House 21st Thu - Gathering of props and words for various modules - In school 22nd Fri - Photography - Clake Quay 25th Mon - Animation - Design Space 26th Tue - Rehearsal + gathering of props for video - In school 27th Wed - Video - TV Studio 28th Thu - Review 29th Fri - Review 3rd Mon - 7th = Editing DAy 10 Happy Valentine's Day! Again, this year got no date but went out with Main Comm to watch movie! we watch Sweeny Todd! The blood so fake and gush out like juice.. hah! but other than that, i think the story line not bad.. =D OKAY! back to the main topic, Valentine's day or not, still have to discuss. SO, we have a light discussion then. And, we discussed about the schedule, time plan, props, materials and lighting... oh YES! we also thought of props and scene for the video. We were laughing so loudly when we asked our friends to help us out.. I still haven't tell you the genre of the short video production. It's going to be ROMANTIC!haahahahahahhahha~ the casts very interesting, so we're quite excited to see it coming. And we going to shoot the post-production and Sholleh going to talk about this module. DAy 9 Is the post getting shorter and shorter? I think so... Anyway, today is a TIRING DAY! wow! I learnt a lesson not to hand bring laptop to recce! It's totally dumb! and we walked a lot.. First recce of the day was Stamford House's studio. It's a nice place to do painting and drawing. (They have this atmosphere to do drawing!) haha!! It's recommended by Laurie. If I'm not mistaken, she worked there before. Oh yes! Stamford House is for drawing essential, Hui Qin's station. =) Sholleh took a few photos of the place. After planning some shots, we think the lighting not really good, quite dim and the shelves are not suitable for drawing essential. So might get some works from school to bring it there. Next place, Substation! I'm falling in love with the place too. Though it got this strong paints smell... But i think it's really good to have works showcase here. It's like promoting our works. Every first week of the month will showcase different works. We asked for permission if we can film the place. Till now, we're still unsure if the person contacted us. Yup. This place is quite helpful for those interested in photography or filming courses. Third station of the day, we left with half energy. We went to the this place at Tanjong Pajar. 9 Shanton Way, an animation company 77star. The guy, a Japanese welcomed us. I think he's really enthusiastic of helping us. REALLY! But there's a problem - language. Though I studied Japanese before, I totally forgot how to communicate with him. Which I think i ought be embarrassed. After recce the place, the place don't have what we're looking for. Like light box, computers to teach the students animation.. But they'll be moving to a new place in Bugis in the month of MARCH! which is too LATE to shoot. Now they are having manual drawing lesson, like character drawing. When we took our leave, he actually sent us all the the way to the lift. Japanese are really polite and nice people! =) unlike... you know! hahah! OH!! this is for Animation. Fourth station? Is it the last? Hmm.. Not really.. I think it's the second last station. By this time, I think I left with 3/4 of energy. HAHA! It's my station, Photography at Clake Quay. The evening scene was good. However, there are some factors we have to consider since it's outdoor shoot. Like weather, lighting, people (busy) background. But for today, I think the weather was good. LAst LAST LASt!! Orchard! Remember the random shoots we want to take? Yup. We thought of shooting the scene on weekends as it is the busiest and crowded. However, we came at the wrong timing. The birds were too noisy that we afraid that if we shoot at the place, it can't capture our voices. Thinking of getting boom mike too. But we don't know how to use. So, it's kinda disadvantage for us. HAH!!! right after recce orchard, we had dinner at Cineleisure, Long John Silver before returning home. Well, it's a LONG LONG day after all. DAy 8 Today is much simple. Actually, it's kinda stress to see other groups starts to shoot and we're still far back. But, Sholleh said we should focused on ourselves and not the rest. Well, I think he said well. =) yup. So, we just recap about the previous meetings we had and finalised more things. And also, I talked to a senior for some advices on a lot of aspects. Thank God for seniors. haha! they're "angels" to us! haha! Of course we did not ask them for help all the time, just some advice on what we can do. =) oh yes! We going to recce outdoor tomorrow! YEAH!! DAy 7 Day after day 6? haha! Try to make it interesting.. So today's task was kinda simple. Recce. We recce a few places in school; TV Studio, Gallery, Sound Room, 2D animation room. Yup.. we checked about the shots that we want to do and the lighting. However, we actually missed out a lot of things during the recce. There's a lot of things we did not take it into consideration DAy (Chinese New Year's Eve) Good! It's Chinese New Year's Eve and we came all the way to school to discuss! I'm a chinese! hahah! however, surprisingly, I saw quite a few business students in school.. -.-'' The plan still not finalise, that's why...OH YES! We discussed at BUSINESS school. cool ah.. have different place to plan. And this meeting wasn't really fruitful i guess. This time, we thinking of having 2 drafts as we're still unsure if seniors are allowed to be part of our project. However, not much of changes for each draft. Draft 1 (with seniors) The plan is somewhat same as previous entries. But instead of us being interviewed, we're thinking of interviewing the seniors instead. We thought of asking 3 seniors to talk about video and 2 seniors to talk about animation. Actually we thought seniors are more experienced and they have more things to talk about MOI rather than us, that's why we thought of interviewing them. Other than that, Draft 2 (us only), we interview ourselves. Oh! besides planning and planning, we found one MTV which is quite good! Thought of doing something like that too.. Youtube : Lawnchair talkshow opening Homework: Compose music (by Monday) Find music (if cannot) Get access to different rooms DAy 6 First presentation! Again, we went to project room! I think I'm falling in love with the place. =) haha!! oh! You know, presentation day, usually student-panic-day. To be frank, we were quite unprepared for the presentation as there're some uncertainly too. Nervous! OH! AND! We're the first group to present! haha! In the slides that we had were quite empty and we thought we can further explain more, but at the situation then, we forgot! and quite brief about it. GOOD thing we have Sholleh! He explained everything! =D And I think the mascots that Laurie did was really GOOD! *3 cheers for Laurie* If were me, i think i can only draw stickman! ahhaha! should learn more from her.. and Hanis! Back to the presentation, Ronald gave us some points for us to further improve. Oh.. you know, Alan and Alfie told us not to include the seniors' works but Ronald said it's okay. TO THINKOUT OF THE BOX! yup.. I understand what Ronald is trying to state but don't really know how to explain it. But, because of what different lecturers' instruction, we were quite confused. *I still like the idea of thinking out of the BOX!* =D we decided to focus more on us than seniors. At least we don't have to panic when we're not allowed to. yup! and despite that if asking seniors to help us may gain more advantages, I think this is a good time to work on our own and learn from mistakes. If there's anything we're unclear of, we'll approach them. Isn't it a better idea? =D DAy 5 It was my first time to library project room! I was late and couldn't find the place. Didn't want to trouble my team mates, I figured my way there.. HAH! I found it, with the help of the information in the lift. Anyway, I didn't know there's a corridor outside project room so I was quite amazed to see people waking pass the room!! HAHA! okay.. back to the main point about today's meeting, we made finalised as much as we can such as presentation and other works. Ronald didn't come today so Alfie came and took over the lesson. He gave us some tips and brief on the project 1. DAy (camp) I shall consider this as day 5, can i?? haha! I think better not consider that.. we had a meeting (not including Laurie as she's not part of main comm) at 3 or 4am! Of course, we'll not leave Laurie out! she'll come up with mascot character, powerpoint. Yup! Efficient right???After that we'll bring all the informations together! OKay! BAck to camp! it's REALLY tiring! and we're afraid that we won't be able to finish it on time. =X so this meeting is kinda important. So, these are what we discussed in our sleepy mode but WE really tried our best... Title for our production: Seeds of Aspiration Rationale for this was that, we think seed is like beginning and we do not know what will come up from the seed until it grows. Once it grow, it may produce flowers and even fruits. Questions of interview: What is MOI? What is your favourite or memorable module so far? First thing that remembered about being part of MOI? - Halloween Day - Personal and memorable Why choose MOI? YUp! that's all for the day! we got 2 hours of rest before reporting.. and!!! I didn't sleep! total of 33hours awake! NOT EASY! hahah! DAy 4 These are what we discussed... Okay, I think I'm not as detailed as my other group members. HAha! They're really cool and got to learn from them.. to beDETAILED! SO here it is.. Okay, it seems wordly and quite brief. Seriously, I think we're still quite unsure the plan. And we can't seemed to picture all the things together. Okay, continue from what I left out yesterday, (what we have???) oh yes! VIDEOing! Have I told you Caleb, our male lead and Lydia, our female lead? If you don't know Caleb, he is one of the most friendly and humourous guy I seen in school. Really funny. So, the scene here is, they have to toast first and Caleb have to say "You look beautiful today" to Lydia and feed her. But when he was halfway feeding her, WE bust out LAUGHING!! really LAUGHING!! cannot "tahan" the scene. He was like, "ah! I tried my best. It looks so weird" kind of thing. Well, also cannot blame them. They only know each other at the table! So, I think it's already a good job if you see the final work. The setting and ambience damn romantic! HAHA!! self-praising.. But, I think it's really fun and good. We also include the lighting skills that Tom and Matthew taught us the other day. Oh yes! There's another factor that I think we missed is the production finance. Thank goodness it's not a huge sum of money but it's something we should factor in the future. What else... Let me think...Seriously, I think we were having a great time for today. Had some food and fun! HEHE!! Oh!! tomorrow is going to be a long day. Morning reshooting at Clake Quay, afternoon rush back to school for meeting, and late afternoon going for another reshooting at Stamford House. Yup! A LOONG LOOOOONG DAAAAAAAAAY!
DAy 17Today, I went to culinary school up at the swimming pool, hoping to borrow some things from them. BUT sadly, they were closed when I reached. So, went to Bistro Walk to borrow a table and 2 chairs from them. Have to return them tomorrow morning! On the way back to design school, I felt a lot of eyes looking at us. HAH! As though we just went to Bistro walk to rob them. HAh! We were actually quite excited for this video. I went out to opposite school to get some props for the shooting. Seriously, I like set up too. =D Really enjoy doing it. Okay! Shall fast forward to the main thing, the scene itself!! haha! (AH! I shall continue tomorrow. Super tired now!) hahah! keep you in suspense! DAy 16 We had a fruitful time today! besides shooting at evening time, we learnt other things. Especially lighting, from Tom and Matthew, both year 3s, so that we don't have to keep depending on seniors to help us. Really learnt a lot from them. But couldn't really remember the names of the lights but only remember how many watts for each light. Dedo, 120w; redhead, 800w; ???, 1k. AND THE LIGHTS ARE REALLY HOT AFTER SOME TIME!!! wow! I think if we hungry and wish to have toast bread, we can have it easily. HAH! It smells like one too. Okay, what else I learnt... how to set up the lights and its uses, say "striking" when turning the lights on to alert the people, the lighting position and how to enhance it, coiling of wire... etc. I remember what Tom said! That lights are not to brighten up the sets, but to enhance it to make it look better. WOW! I listen!! hahahaha! Actually, we had some negative things happened today. Maybe because of stress that's why.. BUTBUTBUT!! We're okay after a short while. AND! Laurie's shoot, which is today, was really fast and straightforward. Though we took a very long time to set up and things like that, her shoot was really FAST!! how fast?? VERY VERY FAST! I think the fastest is her... Slowest is me!! Wah.. both extremes! Well, all thanks to her, we had a short briefing and wrap up early to go home! and yes, that's about it. =)

DAy 16OKay! I think ate up my DAy 15. Couldn't find DAy 15!! Anyway, I think that day we didn't have much discussion that day. Just looking for people for DSLR. =) So, for today, nothing much happened also. Just some updates on what we need to do for the next day and gather of the storyboards, scripts, blogs and schedules... I realised I'm someone who always do last min work so I decided to do daily! Besides the project, I got 2 meetings to attend after that. SA followed by Main Comm till 8.30pm! Surprisingly, I'm not tired! Oh! We're planning to learn lighting from seniors tomorrow. YEah! Cause we have some time to spare and might as well get this time to learn something from seniors. Well, actually, I plan to learn as much as possible from them before they really move on to their individual lives. =D *ALL THE BEST SENIORS! YOU'RE BEST!!*

DAy 13As what I said the day before, I believe for a better tomorrow. Well, we did have a better tomorrow. =) Today is DM fund, Hanis!!! YEAH!! we went to mac lab after our 3-6pm lesson. And happy thing was there wasn't a single soul there. We play and riot there! hahaha! Oh yes, forgot to introduce to you that, for each module, we'll have different people doing different roles. Firstly, we can try out different roles. Secondly, we know what we like and dislike. We have 4 roles; director, photographer, camera person, audio & set up. SO, director for today is Sholleh, Photographer is me Betty, Camera person Laurie and Hui Qin as audio & set up. Hanis was a little nervous in the beginning but after that, she's amazing! haha! She crap a lot after a few rounds. COol? We had some fun with the school's Mac. Here are the some fun we had.. haha! they're really funny.. (AH!!! I couldn't find the other photos..) EEEEE!!!!!!!! I dislike UPLOADING PHOTOS!! SO troublesome!!!! AHHH!!! Kept running around! AHHHHHH!!!! RED!!!!!! We had a short briefing after the whole shoot. Like the reflection of the day, how we can improve personally or as a group, things to be done, encouragement to one another for the shoot the next day. =DDD I think this is a very good thing, so that we can move on as a group, not individual. 
DAy 12TOday is the first day of shooting. Minds Cafe. ACtually, there's something that I learnt. That we have to call and ask for permission earlier if we want to shoot outside. Anyway, I called the Minds Cafe branch up and referred me here and there until the manager himself. I thought his answer would be a NO because we're too last minute, like we want to shoot THE SAMEday that we called? and, using such a place, they need to think about it like, will we disturb other people playing... WELL, he said a YES!!! almost immediately!! WOW!! really GOOD ah? At there, we played a few games, such as Jenga, Ugly Ugly, and... other games. (HAH! can't remember that much) We had food! NICE and EXPENSIVE! So I advice, please have your fill before you go.. HAH! We didn't play much games either. Unsure of the games and we don't feel like playing. That leads to a HUGE problem. We didn't plan about the shoots, haven't recce before and weren't enthusiastic. AH! That's why, the whole shoot was quite waste and unfruitful. After viewing the tape, we realised that Sholleh and I always ahead of the rest. No unity or see us having fun at all. Oh well, it's our first shoot. I believe for a better tomorrow!
